Iran has a variable climate. It is interesting to know that in Iran you can experience a change in weather within a 3 hour drive from one place to another. How is the weather in Iran
In December and January, Iran has three different kinds of weather. It means that along the Caspian coast, the weather is fair and relatively cold, and at the same time in center parts of the country you experience a winter cold and in southern parts you can enjoy a pleasant and mild weather.
Generally the best time to visit Iran is during the spring and autumn. There are ideal temperatures across most of Iran from March until May and then again from late September to early November. Meanwhile, winter is best avoided because temperatures can become very cold.

In summer, the weather can be cool as well as warm, and in the cold winters, it can be mild. In the northwest, winters are cold with heavy snowfall and subfreezing temperatures during December and January. Spring and fall are relatively mild, while summers are dry and hot. . Very high temperatures can be experienced along the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea with a danger of heat exhaustion.
Iran Weather in January and August
January is the coldest month, with temperatures from 5°C to 10°C, and August is the hottest month from 20°C to 30°C .
Tehran weather
On average the warmest month in Tehran, the capital is July and the coolest is January. In general, April, May and October have nice weather with a good average temperature to choose for being in Tehran.
Yazd weather
Yazd is mainly covered by deserts so the weather is generally hot and dry.Temperature fluctuation is quite high between the day and night. But March, April, October and November are good months for traveling to Yazd.
Shiraz weather
If you want to pay a visit to Shiraz and enjoy the best weather and also the beauty of blossoms, April and may are perfect choices for travelers. Especially when the chaos of Norouz holiday is over, you can experience a very pleasant weather.
Isfahan Weather
Isfahan, also known as cultural capital of Iran, is a four-season city. But the drought and lack of water in Zayande rud river, have decreased the gentility of its weather. But in general, Isfahan has a mild and enjoyable weather, warm summers and cold winters. In fall, it is mostly cool. And the best time for a trip to Isfahan is during the spring. From April to June you can enjoy the best of weather.
